| Message | I realized it was a huge problem when I was out of town ran it dry about 2AM. Who would figure that at 10K miles, after an oil change at 5K miles, I would run the bitch dry. I stopped, determined the issue, added oil and it seemed to work fine. I owned it another year but never trusted the longevity/reliability of the car, which was the main reason I bought it to start with. After reading online about many folks with the same issue, there was no guarantee that I would ever be happy once the dealer touched it (g35driver.com, look up oil consumption). I didn't want to rebuild/upgrade. I bought the car because it could seat the kids, looked awesome and would hopefully be very reliable...FAIL. Its gone now. I bought a Tundra so I could trailer my Z to more events. My employer provides me a vehicle so I don't put many miles on my cars or feel much from the gas crunch. Thats helped the Tundra be a successful option for me. Oh, and it doesn't eat oil.
